How to Share Your HatchLink

1. Tap the "Share your HatchLink" button when you're ready to share
2. The game will prepare a special link containing a **clone** of your pet
3. Copy this link and send it to a friend via message, email, etc.

How to Play Someone's Shared HatchLink

When a friend shares their HatchLink with you:

1. Paste the entire link into your browser's address bar
2. Press Enter to welcome the HatchLink clone into your care
3. The pet will appear as a new generation of your friend's pet
4. The clone starts with its own fresh stats but inherits the generation number (increased by 1) and has a chance to develop unique mutation traits!

It's like receiving a child or descendant of your friend's pet - no downloads, no accounts or complicated steps needed! The entire pet and its genetic lineage travel safely inside that single magical link.

Pet Names & Personalities

Every HatchLink is unique and comes with its own mysterious name! You'll see your pet's name displayed prominently above its status bars.

Understanding Moods

Your HatchLink will express different moods based on how well you're taking care of it:

• When your egg is healthy, you might sense subtle movements inside
• A well-cared-for HatchLink will radiate happiness and contentment
• A hungry pet might hint that it needs nourishment
• An unhappy pet will show signs of sadness or discomfort
• A tired pet might show signs of weariness
• An unwell pet will display signs of distress

Status Bars & Care

Your pet has four key status bars that change color to indicate their well-being:

• Green: Your pet is thriving
• Yellow: Your pet requires attention
• Red: Your pet needs immediate care!

These stats naturally decrease over time as your pet lives its life. The better you balance their care, the happier they'll be.

Pet Lifespan

Beware! If you neglect your pet too much, your HatchLink may sadly pass away. A deceased pet will be marked with a skull (💀) emoji and cannot be revived. Care with devotion!

Evolution Timeline

A mysterious timeline shows your pet's potential future forms, with the current stage highlighted. The progress bar below reveals how close your pet is to its next transformation.

Evolution requirements:

• Time: Each pet must reach the minimum age for its evolution stage
• Care Quality: The average of all stats (hunger, happiness, energy, health) must be above 70%

Generations & Mutations

One of the most wondrous aspects of HatchLink is the creation of new generations!

When you share your HatchLink, you're actually creating a "child" of your current pet with:

• An incremented generation number (Generation 2, 3, etc.)
• A chance for special mutations!

Mutations

With each new generation, there's a chance your pet might develop a special trait like "Glowing," "Rainbow," "Speckled," or other unique characteristics. These magical traits are displayed below your pet and can accumulate over generations, making each lineage truly special!

Mutation System

The mutation system works as follows:

1. Inheritance Mechanism: When a player shares their pet, a "child" pet is created with an incremented generation number.
2. Mutation Chance: There's a 30% chance that the child will develop a new random trait during the sharing process.
3. Trait Accumulation: Traits accumulate across generations, allowing pets to have multiple traits that can interact with each other.
4. Effect Stacking: When a pet has multiple traits, all their effects are applied multiplicatively to the pet's stats and behaviors.
5. Visual Indicators: Traits are displayed with the generation count and show tooltips with their effects when hovered over.
